Newsletter-25-December-2015

Dear parishioners,

We, the parish clergy, would like to wish you and yours every blessing and good wish this Christmas, and for the year that lies ahead. Christmas affords us an opportunity to pause and reflect on what is truly important in our lives. We look back with gratitude on the year that has passed, and we thank the Lord for the many blessings we have been given, and also for his help in persevering through the difficult times. Most importantly, we give thanks to God for the abiding and consoling presence of his Son Jesus, who came among us as a helpless child. He came to share our sufferings by experiencing them himself, and he came to open up a pathway to an eternal home for us all. We also give thanks to God for the love and support of family and friends, and for the kindness of others. We sympathise with all of you for whom 2015 has been a difficult year. We extend our condolences once again to all of you who have lost a loved one during the year. May the consoling presence of the Christ-child be your strength this Christmas. We also take this opportunity to thank most sincerely all who help out in our parish during the year, and to all who have contributed so generously in various ways. Guímid gach rath is beannacht oraibh go léir don Nollaig seo is don Athbhliain atá romhainn!
