Star of the Sea Convent.

Dear Monsignor O’Mahony,It is with a sense of sadness that I write to inform you and the people of the Parish of Tramore that we will be withdrawing from the Star of the Sea Convent in September of 2021.The closure of the Convent has been under consideration for some time but the decision has now been taken,It seems a long time away but it will pass quickly. We came to Tramore in June of 1886 and since then we have had a blest and positive relationship with the People and the Priests of the Parish. The sisters have always expressed their gratitude for the unwavering support of the various Parish Priests down through the years that ensured that their ministry within the Parish was effective and fruitful. The decision to leave has not been made lightly but is a reflection of the present reality of Religious life in Ireland. We thank God for the graces of these 154 years and thank you in particular for your interest and support since you came to the Parish.Yours sincerely,Sr.Una O’Neill,Provincial Leader

Children’s Liturgy.

Mass will take place on Sunday February 23rd at 10.30am, and we welcome our young children from 1st to 5th class. During the Liturgy of the Word, they gather in the church sacristy with our Children’s Liturgy Team, where they engage with God’s Word at an age-appropriate level, through reading, stories, art and music. We look forward to seeing our young people on these weekends!
