WELCOME:

ARDSCOIL NA MARA TRAMORE!

This week, history will be made when our new Catholic secondary school, Ardscoil Na Mara, opens its doors for the students and staff for the first time.

Ardscoil na Mara is a Catholic faith voluntary secondary school following the amalgamation of Stella Maris and C.B.S. Tramore. These are very exciting times the opening of our new state of the art school facility.

We acknowledge the vast contribution that both Stella Maris and CBS Tramore have made to education in our community for many decades. The success and history of both schools will not be forgotten and will provide the foundation and guiding light for Ardscoil na Mara.

Ardscoil na Mara will be a caring Christian Community in which students have the opportunity to achieve academic excellence and to grow spiritually, emotionally, creatively and physically in a healthy and safe environment.

As a brand new school Ardscoil na Mara can boast a range of facilities that includes 230 computers, Wi-Fi, interactive whiteboards, science laboratories, music department, art studio, library, large fully equipped gymnasium, sand based sports playing pitch, music department together with an internal and external camera security system.

The state of the art facilities they enjoy are merely the instruments they use. The human resource interaction of students, teachers and parents will be at the core of all they achieve.

We in the parish would like to warmly welcome Ardscoil na Mara’s new principal, Mr. Padraig Cawley, and the Vice-principal Mr. Anthony Leahy to Tramore. We also welcome back our teachers and secretaries to their new school, along with the caretakers and cleaners, caterers and other support staff.

We wish the school every good wish and blessing in this exciting and historic chapter for the young people of Tramore now – and for many future generations to come.
