The Annual Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will be from 3rd to 8th June 2020. Booking is already open and you may book online www.joewalshtours.ie where you can avail of a €10 Discount. Contact the Lourdes booking office in Waterford on 051-878900 from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Please note that if you wish to visit the Waterford office it be open on Monday and Thursday from 10am to 2pm.
World Day of the Sick.
World Day of the Sick. Pope Francis is urging the human warmth and personalised approach of Christ, the Good Samaritan, in healthcare professionals, workers and volunteers. He makes the call in his message for the 28th World Day of the Sick. The Catholic Church marks the annual day on 11 February, the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.
The theme of this year’s celebration is “Come to me, all you who labour and are burdened, and I will give you rest,” taken from Matthew’s Gospel (11:28). In our own Diocese, many parishes will celebrate this special event with Mass. Please check your local newsletters for information. The Diocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage Staff and pilgrims will join the parishioners of St. Paul’s parish in Waterford city for Mass at 7pm.
